Why Vocable

Built for the way memory actually works.

Most language apps treat you like a kid who needs a sticker. Vocable trusts you to show up. The app does its job, you do yours, and the words stick.

It schedules around your memory

Vocable shows you each word right before it slips out of your head. The more you remember it, the longer it waits to come back. It just works.

Easy on the eyes

Warm beige, soft serifs, lots of room to breathe. Studying shouldn't feel like answering emails.

Done in five minutes

Daily sessions are short on purpose. Long enough to actually learn something. Short enough that you'll come back tomorrow.

Words with context

Every card has the pronunciation, the gender, an example sentence, and a bit of register so you know when to use it.

Sync, when you want it

Sign in and your progress follows you to your other devices. Don't, and everything stays on your phone. Up to you.

No ads. No data selling.

If you go premium, that's how we keep the lights on. If you don't, you still get the app. Either way, your data is yours.

How it works

Open it. Tap through. Close it.

  1. 01

    Pick where to start

A1 if you're starting out, B2 if you're rusty, C1 if you want to nail the words you keep half‑remembering. You can change your mind later.

  2. 02

    Five minutes, daily

A short mix of new words and reviews. Do it on the bus, in line for coffee, in bed before you sleep. That's the whole routine.

  3. 03

    Watch the words land

Each time you remember a word, the next review pushes a bit further out. After a few weeks, words you used to blank on are just… there.

From people using it

What folks have been saying.

I'm two months in and I haven't missed a day, which I genuinely cannot say about any other app on my phone. Something about the way it looks makes me actually want to open it.
L Léa · Lyon
I've bounced off Duolingo like four times. This is the first one where I'm actually learning words instead of just collecting little wins.
T Tom · engineer, Berlin
It's the only app that doesn't make me feel bad when I open it. Plus the cards are gorgeous. I sound shallow but it matters.
